Apple TV 4K - Remote keeps disconnecting and connecting

I have a Apple TV 4K, but since a while it keeps disconnecting and connecting again.

On the other hand, it keeps the connection is not flawless, so when going up and down in apps, for instance Youtube, Apple +, Netflix or what ever app, It sometimes gets 'stuck' and keeps going up or down in the list, even when I click up or down 1 time.

By clicking the opposite button to the one I pressed, it stops going up and down randomly.

This wasn't alway the case and I already reset the remote, update the Apple TV to the latest software, did a power off (by cutting power and all) but still no succes.

Even got real close the the Apple TV, without succes.

Is the remote broken?
