iPadOS 17.7.7 update has really caused issues to my iPad Pro

This update has really caused issues to my iPad Pro 10.5 inch. Some apps have lost all state every time they are reopened, and revert back to their initial initialisation screens. Programs like procreate show their example artworks. Some games have lost all progress, and apps like YouTube ask me to log in each time.

I have tried a full reset / restore, to no avail, but that added a new issue which now once a day I am asked to log in with my password rather than Touch ID as "I have recently changed my password". I downgraded to 17.7.6 to find the restore for the iPad does not work, so had to reinstall 17.7.7 before restoring.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thank you StephC74

I tried your suggestion about 4-5 hours ago, and so far it is looking positive, not had anything reset itself or boot me out yet.

I can't pretend I understand why or how it works, but it does appear to have worked for me, the morning will confirm or otherwise

"Restart iPad using the top button and either of the volume buttons. Slide to power off and then wait 30 seconds before powering on.

Toggle your iCloud settings. Settings, tap your name, icloud

Temporarily disable iCloud drive and iCloud keychain

Restart your device and then re-enable iCloud Drive and iCloud Keychain.

So i have recieved this reply from Apple which basically says theyre not going to fix it weve got to buy new ipads. Outrageous.

Checking here on, iCloud now requires a minimum of iPad OS 18. Since your iPad can no longer upgrade to the minimum as it has reached the hardware limitation of your device, I can highly suggest to upgrade your device, so you won't need to face this issue again

Exact same issue I am facing in my iPad pro 10.5(INDIA) and additionally some youtube videos are not toggling to full screen and showing incomplete app interface followed by app crash.

Favourites bar is also disappeared along with the download button and not turning up even after trying all settings.Cache memory is gone right after closing application. Disappointing…

Please anybody help me - I am in holidays and cannot downgrade. My IPad is my working item and I do all my banking with it. Now I have to uninstall, install and register my Ipad for my banking app - that takes half an hour every time! Please, please anybody help me. Can I downgrade without a Mac/PC. When will that be fixed? I will change from Apple to whatever if they do not fix it immediately

This is just nonsense. I have iCloud turned on for some services (like photo synching between my iPhone and iPad) and it still works fine on iPadOS 17.7.7 - even if lots of other things no longer function ;)

You say Feedback Assistant makes a difference, yet I know a bunch of people here have submitted this very issue, as have I. But, when you look at that same submitted report, notice how just like most other bugs submitted, Apple says there are no similar reports.

Recent Similar Reports: None

Resolution: Open

I have even submitted a link to this forum (Community) entry as further documentation for how wide this issue spans.

Tell me how we are supposed to have confidence when Apple's own systems don't see the same issues? In the old days of Radar, if there were duplicates, all of the duplicates got removed.

I really want to know why we should have confidence, Lotus? I would like to believe you, but I have hundreds of bug reports over the years that never seem to go anywhere than the null bucket. I want to believe...
