How can I fix login issues and recover game level progress in iPadOS 17.7.7?

(1)A lot of apps are requesting logins (as if i was a new user), don't keep any info again ; several logins are needed

(2) Several game apps are completely reset, having lost all trace of purchases made and levels reached (going from level 1975 to level 1 is unpleasant).

Multiple reports of issues with iPadOS 17.7.7 have been seen within this Support Community.


You and anyone else that encounter issues subsequent to updating to this version of iPadOS should submit a Bug Report via Apple's Product Feedback portal.  For iPad and iPadOS:

When submitting your Bug Report, please ensure that you include details of your iPad model and installed version of iPadOS within the body-text of your report along with details of the problem. Do not rely upon the pick-list - as this rarely includes the current version of iPadOS.


Every Bug Report counts. Unless reports are submitted (with adequate detail), Apple may not assign resources to investigate and correct the issue.


In addition [i.e., not as a substitute] to submitting a Bug Report, you might also consider seeking assistance directly from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page; you can initiate and manage your support cases from Apple devices using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

I contacted support. After chatting to the first level support person for about 30 mins via text, they said I'd have to talk via phone to an upgraded support person.


I got a call back from said person and he walked me through a few things I'd already done. To no avail. Resetting the iPad settings didn't work. Deleting and re-installing the apps didn't work etc.


I asked him if he could raise it as a bug in the OS. He said something along the line of unless I went all the way through his checklist which involved completely wiping and restoring my ipad, it couldn't be escalated and anyway, it's such an old ipad that perhaps it wasn't high priority to fix for apple. My paraphrasing.


Sigh. I've been trying to restore all my custom settings for the last hour :(

Same here, on an iPad Pro 12,9".


To add insult to injury, the Apple feedback form will not even offer iPadOS 17.7.7 as the version you are currently running, it stops at 17.7.6.


This is completely unacceptable, Apple. How you let this go to public release witjout noticong such a serious bug is beyond me.
