Apple TV no longer turns on Samsung soundbar

Apple TV (A2169) was working with TV (Samsung UN55JS7000FXZA) and soundbar(Samsung HW-B650) via HDMI ARC until I updated the soundbar firmware. Now, Apple TV will not turn on the soundbar when it wakes up, though it will still turn on TV. Soundbar will turn on with the TV if I turn on the TV with the Samsung remote. Sound through the soundbar works fine either way, it is only the ability to power on the soundbar when the Apple TV wakes up that has broken. The soundbar will power off along with the TV if the Apple TV sleeps. I have tried re-syncing soundbar (holding volume buttons down) and even a factory reset of the TV. I’ve also tried resetting the Apple TV remote, changing the Volume Control, and leaving everything unplugged for hours. Any other ideas?
