It sounds like you fell for a common phishing scam: You may get a text or email from “Apple” or “Apple Security” (or sometimes “Police”) saying your phone has been found and to click on a link to see its location. This is NEVER from Apple or from law enforcement; it is from the thief or fence to steal your Apple ID and identity. Delete any such message without responding to it. Apple never gets involved in lost or stolen devices→Recognize and avoid social engineering schemes including phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams

When you use Find My to remove the iPhone from the list of devices using your Apple ID, this message will appear.

Either you were tricked....or someone else who knew your Apple ID and Password.....initiated the remove command. There are no other possibilities that I am aware of in 15+ years experience working with iPhones.

Try to change your Apple ID Password as Lawrence Finch advised. What happens? Does the same message appear?

The phone will not be removed....(that is part of the scam message).

You are the only person who can remove the iPhone from the list of devices using your Apple ID.....unless.....you have provided your Apple ID and Password to another person.

If you log on using Find My to try to locate your phone.......what is the message that is displayed?

"Offline"?

Something else?

Regardless, do NOT remove your iPhone from the list of devices using your Apple ID.....even if you might receive threats.

But I have access of my the Apple ID

OK

I don't have the option to remove it.

We are not suggesting that you remove your Apple ID. We are suggesting that you change the password for your Apple ID. Lawrence Finch suggested this as a precaution.....since it appears that someone else knew your password in order to enter the action to remove your phone from the list of devices using your Apple ID.

The link below provides instructions for this.
