Can I use AirPods Max with iPhone 14 Pro for lossless audio via a wired connection?

Hi guys, I just bought Airpods max last week and read an article over internet that they can used with wired connection via USB C to USB C cable for lossless audio experience. I got too excited upon hearing this. Currently I have an iphone 14 pro with old lightning port in it. So, I bought an adapter from Linsoul (tc28i pro), it is a lightning adapter with 2 USB C female ports. I tried plugging it in my iphone 14 pro with USB C to USB C cable (which comes in box with APM), but it didn't work. Is there any possible way that I can use my airpods max in wired connection with my iphone 14 pro (lightning port) to experience lossless audio? Please help !!!
