How do I connect earpods with lightning connector to iPhone 16 (USB-C) using an adapter?

I want to connect my earpods with lightning connector with iPhone 16 (USB-C) by using an adapter, but it does not work. What shall I do?

Connector works as I can charge the phone.

Earpods work as can use them with the older iPhone SE.

some adaptors only support charging

they one they make themselves claim to support audio too though
