AppleTV+ will not play the first episode of Murderbot

I am on Windows 11, using the AppleTV+ app. It will play fine in the browser but the browser is awful resolution.

Other tv shows will work. Episode two of Murderbot works. It is only non-functional on Episode 1 of Murderbot.

When I click Play Episode for episode 1, nothing happens. I have tried downloading it, I have the setting to remember my spot turned on, i have told it to clear watch history, i have logged out and in, i have uninstalled and reinstalled AppleTV+, I have tried watching other things to get the episode pop up window then selected Episode 1.

Nothing works. I am very close to cancelling my subscription, as Murderbot is the whole reason I even signed up and it is not letting me watch it.

I have since fixed this myself, by installing an older version of apple TV+

Version 1.1282.15873.0 from Jan 20, 2025 specifically. I was finally able to press play on the episode, it confirmed I am over 15 years of age and then started playing S1E1 of Murderbot.

This happened to me too, never loaded. The ONLY way we were able to watch it was to let it play by itself after watching the end of a movie/show. If we touched it at all, it would not play.

Hi, same issue here with MacBook Pro with M4 chip. Only episode 2 of Murderbot is playing.

My workaround is to use my iPad/ iPhone for watching or use Airplay to stream to my Mac.

Annoying but it works.....

It took a few goes, but I watched episode 1 on safari (tv.apple.com), episode 2 on the TV app, then had to go back to safari for episodes 3 & 4 (binged watched them all this evening)

I did get a few errors on safari and for good measure let the promos, recaps, and intros play through without skipping. I don’t know if that really did anything but it seemed to work better.

Exact same problem here. Episode 1 wont play, all other eps and shows are fine.

I tried playing through Safari at appletv.com but kept getting error messages before freezing -I gave up after several attempts. I wound up airstreaming from my iphone to my mac as riku did. It worked, but less than ideal.

MacBook 14" M1.

Exact same issue, keeps happening even when I reset warnings and agree I’m above fifteen (considering my birthdate is in my Apple ID should they not already know this?). For some reason I can stream episode two, but not any others. Happening on Sequoia 15.5 and with no other show, any idea how to fix this??
