Only one AirPod working a time with Apple Watch Ultra 2

AirPods Pro 2 with Apple Watch Ultra 2. Only one AirPod will work at a time when connected to the watch. whichever one I put in first will work. They both work when connected to my iPhone.

Have tried Apple Music app and voice memos and both are only in one AirPod.

Ive checked audio balance and it’s centered at 0.00.

I’ve reset 4 or 5 times no change

ive forgot device (AirPods)from my iPad and my work phone and personal phone.

ive disabled optimized battery charging no change there either

I’ve even tried turning it off and on again……

what am I missing? I’ve seen a few people solve it with a reset but it’s not working for me.

Wow. Seems like it’s sorted now. I went in to the Watch app on my phone and in the audio section it had gone to the far right by its own accord. I moved it to the Centre and no difference. I turned mono audio on and off a few times and moved the audio bar left to right a few times while listening to music and now it’s working in stereo like it should.

Sweet. Life in stereo is gooooood.

Have you tried to update the watch to the latest software version? if so, have you tried to restart the watch to see if the issues persist?

Software is update and I’ve restarted the watch. Still only one AirPod working with watch
