Limited AirPods volume on Apple Watch compared to iPhone

Why do my AirPods have such a limited volume on my Apple Watch? My iPhone the volume is super good with the AirPods. So why not with my Apple Watch?

AirPods Pro 2 playing very loud Greetings, My Apple AirPod Pros are playing too loud while using my Apple Watch series 8. I have adjusted the noise control in the watch to the lowest and it plays everything at maximum level. Noise control and volume adjustment is fine on other devices; MacBook Pro, iPhone XS, Apple TV 4K. Only on the Apple Watch I cannot adjust the volume of the headphones.

AirPods don’t work with Apple Watch I have a cellular plan with my Apple Watch. When I go out without my iPhone and try to stream or listen to music on my 2nd Gen AirPods Pro I (think I) have downloaded I get a few seconds of clarity then the sound breaks up and is unintelligible. There is no issue with my AirPods when connected to my phone. Or when controlling the sound through my Apple Watch when my iPhone is with the watch. I have reset the AirPods.

To address limited volume for AirPods on your Apple Watch, first ensure Headphone Accommodations are off on your iPhone, and check if Reduce Loud Sounds is set to an overly restrictive level on your Apple Watch.
