Why is my iPad not showing accept or decline option for AirDrop from my iPhone?

When I airdrop from my iPhone to iPad, I get a prompt telling me I have an airdrop from my phone but no option to accept or decline. I’ve set the iPad airdrop to “everyone for 10 minutes”.


The iPad is on iOS 18.5 and the iPhone is on iOS 18.4.1. Any ideas?

That is correct. When you AirDrop to yourself, the logical assumption is made that of course you are going to accept the material.

Either that is incorrect (the sharing will happen immediately), or you have omitted some essential information from your scenario, such as some Apple Account difference when communicating from iPhone to iPad. It does seem unusual your screenshot displays “Work Mobile”.
