What do I do when app data persists after deletion on iPhone?

I tried to delete the Hero Wars app and it continues to save the data even though I never signed into the app. The app is malfunctioning and I was attempting to reset it. However, it still shows my progress even after deleting and redownloading the app. The app isn’t showing in my iCloud or iPhone data storage.

Most likely you just removed the app from your Home screen, and not from your iPhone. Go to the App Library (the last page of the Home screen), tap Search and see if it is still on your device. If it is delete it again, and this time tap Remove from Device. If it fails and you have Screen Time enabled, go to Settings/Screen Time/Content & Privacy Restrictions/iTunes & App Store Purchases and change Deleting Apps to Allow.

Then try deleting the app again.
