When using the Hole 19 and Golflogix golf gps apps, my iPhone 16 Pro Max locks after 5 minutes and returns to the Lock Screen. I then have to swipe up to unlock the phone. It is very frustrating that there is no option for “never lock”.
Does anyone have a work around so that my app remains active and on screen during my round of golf?

The iPhone 16 pro max does have an option to completely turn off screen lock it’s in the display section I’ve turned mine off
Are you saying that the Hole 19 app does not have an option to set lock timing?
You do know that you can set the iPhone to lock after 5 Minutes, 15 Minutes, 1 Hour, etc.....correct? This will apply to everything......not just the Hole 19 app.
If you are saying that you want to keep the normal lock timing on your iPhone but change it only for the Hole 19 app, you will have to get in touch with the developers of the Hole 19 app to make that kind of request.....since this is not an Apple app.
Thank you for the reply Bob. Unfortunately, iPhone 16 only offers 30 sec, 1 min, 2 min, 3 min, 4 min, and 5 minute auto-lock options, with no option to turn off the auto lock. One hour would be awesome.
I will reach out to the Hole 19 app developers to see if they can offer an option for leaving the phone unlocked while using their app.
This may be a blessing in disguise. Leaving the phone on during a full round of golf is going to drain the battery pretty hard, especially if the GPS is running all that time.
Most newer model golf carts come with 2 USB power ports as a fairly standard feature. But, you probably won't find them at courses that are still using older 4-5+ year old carts.
