How do I transfer AppleCare+ plan from one MacBook to another?

So previously, I had an m3 MacBook Air but, when I recently got the new m4 MacBook Air, the apple care+ that I had from the previous Mac didn't transfer to the new one.

Apple Care plans are tied to the device. You may be able to cancel your plan and get a refund.
