How do I disable the swipe-down Lock Screen gesture while in an app?

I need to disable the option to swipe down from the top of the phone to show the lock screen. I’ve managed to stop the control centre appearing but I need to stop the lock screen appearing because a) I can do that by clicking the power button so why do I need the swipe option and b) it keeps appearing when I’m in the middle of games. Even worse I’m trying to amend the settings in my alarm system and can’t because the pull down function keeps interfering! It’s driving me mad - not least of all because I’m getting constant alerts from my alarm system at night and can’t fix it because of this function! Please help! For the sake of my sanity.
