Automatic Account Lockout (Failed login attempts)

My mac Is signed in to an Apple Account via iCloud and I would like to know what failed login attempt policy Apple uses.

I did some tests and the mac does seem to block login attempts after a certain number of attempts; automatically unlocking the account after a certain time period. But I am not able to quantify these values (x number of attempts, y number of seconds). Does anyone know what the policy is?

PS: setting policies via "pwpolicy" does nothing, nor does doing a "getpolicy" show if an account is locked, even if it actually is; pwpolicy seems to have been deprecated.
