Unauthorized charges from Duolingo on my Apple Account

DUOLINGO charged me after offering me a one-week trial even though I canceled the subscription on the second day of starting the free trial !!!

But how did Apple ID authorize the purchase when it was already canceled? Was anyone else deceived by Duolingo?
