Apple Account update taking too long to reach credit bureaus

I called in to address my account that had closed. I paid the balance and requested that any remarks or comments being reported to the credit bureaus be updated to reflect the latest information. It seems to take entirely too long for Apple to do anything on the account.

You will need to address Goldman Sachs for a concern on reporting with the credit bureaus.

Goldman Sachs at 877-255-5923

Apple is not a financial institution, which is why they have to partner with Goldmans Sachs for account management and they don't have any control over the decisions Goldman Sachs makes. They can close your account and there is nothing Apple can do about it. I have an Alaska Airlines branded credit card and it works the same way where Bank of America is in charge of reporting and account management.

  • If you want to file a complaint about the procedures regarding Goldman Sachs, you can do that with the CFPB:

https://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/

  • If you want to send feedback to Apple, you can also do that by following the link here and under Product Category, choose Apple Card. You will not get any sort of a resolution or followup using this link, but Apple does read your feedback.

Apple is not a bank and has no authority to report any information about your account. You’ll need to address the issue with an Apple Card Specialist at Goldman Sachs Bank.

Banks report to the 3 primary credit bureaus as a courtesy to their account holders. The reporting takes the place generally 7 to 10 business days after the closing period of your account. For example, if you closed your account April 15, your account would close the last day of April and would be reported to the 3 major credit bureaus between May 7 and 14.

When specifically did you close the account? Did you payoff and close the account with a check? Did you speak to an Apple Card Specialist and request your account be closed ?
