Amazon app cause iPhone to overheat

Within last week or so I’ve noticed that once I open Amazon app my phone becomes running hot within  minutes. I’m was on iOS 18.5, using iPhone 15 Pro haven’t updated Amazon app in a long while but even after updating to latest version phone is still running 100% CPU throttle as soon as I open Amazon app.

Even worse is that really hard to get any support from Amazon in regards to app issues whatsoever. There is no such support topic in support system to report problems with app. And even though AppStore you can’t report quality issues because on reportproblem.apple.com website it’s stated “reporting not available”.

I even called amazon to let them know about this problem, after agent took my info and statement she put me on hold and in 5 minutes they dropped my call. Posting here in attempt to get some attention to the issue.

Absolute nightmare to get any support in regard to problems with Amazon Shopping app.

I got some updates.

I’ve deleted and reinstalled app version 25.12.0

after re-installing I’ve noticed that Rufus Ai button is gone, and I wasn’t be able to find it anywhere.

my phone does not run 100% cpu in amazon app as soon as I opened it.

phone is still getting noticeably warm from extensive use of app. But now at least I can hold my phone comfortably.

i think iPhone 15 pro have more cpu efficiency and thermal capacity to handle amazon app, I think it’s possible that’s other iPhones still may get very hot just of poor app optimization.

for now overheating issue is gone for me. Thank you all for your feedback and input to amazon and apples support teams.
