What to do if my 911 address is invalid for Wi-Fi Calling on iPhone?

Upgraded to iphone 16 and apparently there was an upgrade to the wifi calling that now requires our 911 address. I’ve contacted our carrier, Consumer Cellular and wifi calling is available. I’ve verified our 911 address with our town office. I’ve reset network settings, powered off and restarted my phone with no success. I resorted to using our previous address in another town in order to enable wifi calling! This feature of using a 911 address in order to enable wifi calling should be removed!!!! What good is it if you have to enter false information in order for it to work- garbage in, garbage out!!!

Instead of jumping to conclusions and trashing Apple try finding your address with the USPS instead of your town. Sometimes silly things like how a street is listed (i.e St. instead of Street, or Dr. instead of Drive) can cause a failure like this.

Visit USPS.com and click on Quick Tools, Zip Code and enter your address. You might be surprised.

Great suggestion. I live on a street which is N xx Street. Only for registration with 911 services, it had to written as North xx Street.
