Lost iPhone removed from iCloud - is it still protected?

I accidentally removed my lost iPhone 13 from my iCloud account. I had Stolen Device Protection enabled on that device. Now I can't track it anymore and I’m worried someone else can use it. I also tried to reset my Apple ID password, but I was told to wait until June 19, 2025 because of the security delay.

Is there anything I can do to lock or protect my lost device now, or prevent others from activating it? I no longer have access to any other Apple devices.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

iPhone 13, iOS 18

That will remove your account from that device - You will no longer be able to lock it anymore

If someone resets (ERASE) the device, they can set it up as their own without needing your Apple account credentials.

Find my is the only Apple service that can lock and track your devices ~ Apple have no other tools to lock or locate it. Only Find my can prevent other from activating it.

You can report the missing device to local law enforcement or contact your wireless carrier provider to suspend wireless service to limit unauthorized account activity,
