How do I unlock my iPhone 16 Pro Max when it’s stuck on the Home Screen?

Transfer of old iPhone to new iPhone 16 Pro Max successful yesterday. Today trying out new features and open up dictation to read what is on screen and opened up the tutorial. The iPhone froze on the first screen demonstrating dictation after clicking on sections and would not advance. After several failed attempts of sliding from left to right or using the Continue button, the phone locked on the home screen. I could not unlock by sliding up and the tutorial kept talking each time I clicked on anything. I finally got the passcode screen and tutorial would dictate the passcode, but did not entered it into the screen to unlock.

I have rebooted the iPhone several times. I have also tried the up/down buttons and holding the power button for 30 seconds, but never got the power cord on screen to attach. In addition, I have hooked the iPhone up to my iMac and tried the same steps. I have looked on line, but can't find anything with my same problem.

HELP please.
