Ive force started it already and that hasn’t worked. Also it restarts the app I was on before it reset.

Oh wow. You are way overdue for a battery replacement. Your nearest Apple Store’s Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider can replace it. A significantly degraded battery can cause occasional shutdowns which are one of the most common symptoms.

It sounds like you may have a failing battery. Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health and Charging. What percent is displayed?
In addition to the great advice Zachyy offered, a severely degraded battery as you have, can also cause the phone to swell, or worse. Do NOT delay in having Apple replace the battery in your phone.
