How to show nearby selected photos on MAC / iPhone

Is there a way to easily find all nearby photos based on a selected one?

The official guide [Find photos and videos by location on Mac – Apple Support (UK)] is pretty useless. I don't need a map of "all the picture i've taken", which spans across the globe, but rather have some spot research on:

I want to select a photo and find other photos shot in the same place.

In iOs there is an handy feature "show where this is taken" that opens map app. but... from the map app there is no communication with photo app.

photo app, in map mode, do not allow to search for an address.

Which means, currently you need to select a photo, find it's address, zoom out to globe to find where is been shot, then open again the photo app, and approximately zoom in nearby till you find the same spot.

is there any faster way to deal with this?
