Since yesterday I can't send a link or attach a photo etc in whatsapp.
It just won’t let me hit ‘next’ or ‘send’

I just found on twitter that the problem occurs when Face ID lock is activated for WhatsApp, from the app (I mean, on WhatsApp settings/privacy/app lock). I also found that it does NOT happen when you activate the Face ID lock for the app from the iOS menu (tap and hold on WhatsApp/require Face ID).
is not a fix but at least now we know what causes it and a temporary fix 😀

If you are still having trouble with this after restarting your phone, I kindly suggest you contact WhatsApp support instead of Apple community, they can be much more helpful than us.

same for me on my iPhone 13. when trying to share a website, photo or anything. I click share, select whatsapp then click the contact but i cant get to the next step. When i click Next it does nothing. Works in iMessage no problem so obviously a bug in whatsapp since the last app update

Are you using Wi-Fi or cellular network?
Facing the same issue. I can send photos and pdfs but not links. Nothing happens after selecting the contact. And WhatsApp help is completely useless. There’s no help there. Using iPhone 16 pro here.

Hi. I’ve looked at all that and all fine. Annoying that I then have to go on the site, copy the url and go into WhatsApp separately then paste the person the link.
