That Not Your Wallet message you're seeing when trying to connect the Apple MagSafe Wallet to your iPhone is actually a security feature built into iOS. It shows up when the wallet you're trying to connect has previously been paired with another Apple ID. The wallet itself has a tiny NFC chip that allows it to pair with the Find My network. When it’s added to Find My by someone else, it's effectively "locked" to that Apple ID unless it’s removed by the original owner.
So, if you see that message, it means one of a few things:
* The wallet might have been lost or stolen.
* It was previously used by someone else who didn’t remove it from their Find My account.
* You bought it used, and the previous owner didn’t unpair it from their iPhone before selling or giving it to you.
To resolve this, you'd need the previous owner to open the Find My app, go to Items, tap the wallet, and select Remove This Item. Until it’s removed, it’s basically stuck in limbo and won't pair properly with a new device. If you can’t get in touch with the previous owner, unfortunately, there’s no way to bypass this—Apple uses this to deter theft and protect your personal items, similar to Activation Lock on iPhones.
