Apple TV keeps on freezing

• Make sure your Mac is connected to WiFi on the 5Ghz band. Check this by holding down the Option key and clicking the WiFi icon in the menu bar. Under Channel it will list the band in the parentheses. If it shows 2.4Ghz, that would be a problem as that band is plagued with interference from other devices and a much smaller bandwidth between channels. The solution for this is to create a 5Ghz only network on your router and connect your Mac to this network. The details on how you do that depends on what router you are using.

Almost always related to network conditions. Are you using a VPN or have Antivirus software installed?

If the issue persists you might be able to rule out connectivity by moving the Apple TV near the router and even plugging it in via ethernet cable if you're able.

Can you describe the freezing more? Is it while playing media, or just in the menus?
