bought a used iphone 12 but it has locked to owner. how do i bypass

took a chance on a used iPhone 12 when doing activation . it comes out locked to owner . how can I bypass locked to owner and remove previous iCloud account .

Activation Lock is an anti-theft mechanism that you cannot bypass.


Unless you, or the seller, can get the owner to whom the phone is locked to help, the phone will remain a brick. You can try to get your money back from the seller – but don't be too surprised if they block you, fail to respond, or "disappear."
