AirPods Pro 'Part mismatch' setup issue with different serial numbers
Title: AirPods Pro “Part Mismatch” — Can’t Complete Setup — Anyone Faced This?
I recently purchased a new pair of AirPods Pro (with ANC support), but I’m encountering setup issues when trying to connect them to my iPhone:
- “AirPods setup not complete”
- “AirPods mismatch: some parts cannot be found”
As a result:
- I can’t finish the device setup.
- Features like Find My, firmware updates, and iCloud syncing are unavailable.
- The AirPods don’t show up properly in my Apple ID account.
I checked the serial numbers:
- Left: G****
- Right: G*****
- Case: H******
As you can see, all components have different serial number bases, which likely causes the issue.
Has anyone dealt with this before?
Were you able to fix it somehow — either through Apple support, firmware update, or a replacement?
Would really appreciate any insights or solutions.
