How to remove the sidebar on Facebook when using an iPad Pro?

There is an annoying side bar...turn chat off/on, groups, birthdays, etc...on my Facebook homepage. This is on my new IPad Pro 13". On my IPad Air, 10.5", I did not have this problem, the homepage is centered on the screen and there are no side bars. Is this a Facebook issue or is there a setting on the IPad Pro to rectify this problem? Is the 13" Pro screen too large for a proper Facebook display?
