What will the Procedure for Resetting a MacBook Air of a Deceased Staff Member

Good Day, Customer Service Team

I'm writing to your office to request technical assistance regarding the MacBook Air assigned to a deceased employee. I'm having difficulty resetting the unit because it requires the password of the deceased user. We have no policy on the Apple ID, and the password should not be registered personally. By the way, I'm an IT Officer of a Government Agency. Can I have any advice or requirements to resolve this problem? Thanks in Advance

This is a user-to-user forum. You are not speaking to Apple here. There is the following article, but it was written for families.

How to request access to a deceased family member’s Apple Account - Apple Support

It sounds like your company needs to contact Apple Support, and ask them what procedures (if any) there are to handle such situations, and what proof of purchase and legal documentation Apple will require in order to assist.
