Did you have Find My enabled on your device before it was stolen? If yes, you can try to track it by following the directions here --> If your iPhone or iPad was stolen - Apple Support
The sad reality is most stolen devices are never recovered. Thieves are smart and they usually place an iPhone in a Faraday Bag, which prevents it from being tracked.
Also, please be advised Apple NEVER sends out messages about a lost or stolen phones being found. If you get ANY messages saying your device has been found and all you need to do is enter your credentials is a SCAM, intended to fool you into giving the thieves what they need to wipe your phone. DON'T fall for this.
The first thing you should do is contact your carrier to let them know the phone has been stolen and ask them to Blacklist the phone so it can't be accessed on any carrier network.
