Recently my right AirPod hasn’t been charging all the way and now it just randomly goes out. Even when I use just the right one it would go out and it wouldn’t even connect to my phone, such an annoying problem.

Did you check, if the charing port in the case is free of any debris or lint and the charging contacts are not bent?
If the AirPod still does not charge correctly, you might have to replace it:
