trying to transfer to my iphone 16 pro but keeps saying transfer failed and does not recognise apple id password but it is correct
Tried 6 times, keeps failing, no idea what to do to fix it

Well, we’re being asked to guess a whole lot, like how you’re trying to transfer, from what, what steps you took, what you saw, etc.
If you’re trying to use Quick Start, try a different method.
Transfer data from your previous iOS or iPadOS device to your new iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
The article I linked explains three possible transfer methods. You still have not told us which of these you are trying.
We still don’t know the exact steps you have taken. Nor what you’re transferring from.
So we’re no further along than we were after your original post.
In that case, as I said above:

We are trying to transfer from current iPhone but says verification failed and then data transfer cancelled at the end.
