Unable to Login to Apple Account on New iPhone 17 Pro

I am trying to setup my new iPhone 17 pro, but when I am asked to enter my Apple ID details I get an error - "Verification Failed - An unknown error occurred." I have used the same details on other apple devices without issue, why is this not working on my new iPhone?

When I first started the transfer, the transfer process went ahead and my old phone number was transferred to eSim, then an iOS update was made, now I'm directed back to the transfer process start again, but am unable to login to my Apple account which means that I am unable to access the phone.

Very frustrating, any ideas?

Were you using QuickStart? If yes, I'd first do a Forced Restart on the new iPhone --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

If that doesn't get things moving forward, then Open Settings on the new Phone > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone - Erase All Content & Settings - Start the QuickStart process over again after the phone opens to the Hello Page.

Also, it appears there is an issue with the App Store, which could be causing this for you --> Apple - Support - System Status

There was a system status error notification probably about the time you posted. You can check the status now: Apple - Support - System Status

Mine is showing up as Verification Failed, and 'Media & Purchases' are still shown as Set up. No matter how many times I try. I was able to log in to discussions.apple, but not to icloud.com. Weird!
