Where can we get a thunderbolt 2 cable

I have several devices with female Thunderbolt ports.

I have two Apple Thunderbolt 2 to USB C adaptors.

but I need to get two cables - one to replace a cable that has started to fail.

But Apple no longer sells Thunderbolt 2 cables.

Where are the best sources to get a Thunderbolt 2 cables?

is there an adapter to turn a Thunderbolt 2 port into a Thunderbolt 4 port?

OUCH! Indeed ... probably why I keep; my old cables from days yore. You never know when you will need one. I guess what shocks me most is the cost. I can only figure that these cables are in low demand and the manufacturer is trying to recoup costs.

One thing to be aware of, even though the Thunderbolt 2 cables use mini-DisplayPort (mDP) connectors, don't get fooled in getting a mDP cable even if it physically fits. That's because, although the mDP uses the same internal wiring, it doesn't support Thunderbolt signaling (PCIe + DisplayPort) over a single cable.

Thanks for the caution. Looks like Apple stopped selling the TB2 back in 2016 (9 years ago). There can't be a high demand for the cables as most of the old equipment should have been replaced/junked by now.

Primary supplier was: Belkin. Other companies: Cable Matters and Star Tech Per Duck AI

The USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 converter costs $56 at Apple !

So the cost to continue using the old Thunderbolt display with the Studio is about $100. Given that Apple wants about $1,800 for the new AppleDisplay, I think I will try to keep the old monitor around for a bit longer.

The other device is a Pegasus R6. So that is the purpose of the second cable.
