Logitech Circle view camera not updating firmware

I am running iOS 18.6. I have several locations with Circle view HomeKit cameras all working quite well. Recently, I purchased a new circle view camera from an Apple Store. Upon integrating it with one of my locations, the camera came up as expected, nearly immediately and then went off-line After several attempts to reset and talking to Logitech. They told me to return to an Apple Store. It must be defective. I replaced the camera and the same thing occurred. So I tried it in a different location. The same thing occurred. It would go on after reset, and then disappear and comparing Firmware with the camera and the replacement camera purchased at the Apple Store, it is a Pryor firmware than the latest for all my other cameras which have been updated through HomeKit. And talking to second level support at Logitech I was informed that there’s a known bug and that currently the latest version of iOS 18.6 stops the Firmware Update midway and the camera will go off-line. They tell me there is not a current fix for this and do not have a timeline for a fix. They were very clear that this was an apple issue, but that Apple was working with Logitech to try to resolve the matter. I’m surprised that they haven’t pulled all of these from the shelves or put out some kind of notice as are still selling these with Pryor firmware. I asked Logitech if they could ship me one that’s been updated already to resolve the problem and they said that they don’t have any with the latest firmware that gets updated when they are connected Tohome hubs like iPod or iPod mini’s or Apple TVs. I want to know if anybody else has had this issue, and if anybody knows of a work around.

I just got off the phone with Logitech support. They are aware of the issue of all the cameras not working after pairing. The issue is a firmware problem. They said this problem appeared about two weeks ago and the developers are currently working on implementing a solution because no new cameras will work currently due to the firmware issue. The cams are currently unable to update their firmware automatically like they should. I recommending calling Logitech and getting on their contact list for this fix. The more people who call-in to complain of the issue, the faster their developers will likely fix this.

I have the same issue. I have 3 circle view cameras and all of them work well. But today I have got the 4th camera and after pairing, the camera goes offline within 5 minutes. I have tried to restart, reconnect to the home app and also set the pairing with another device or set the wifi to factory settings. None of these works. I have checked the firmware and think it should be the problem. The new camera has only 8.2.36. but there is no way to update the firmware manually.

I haven’t done anything special – I just left the camera running for a few days. I also checked the firmware version, and it’s still 36. I suspect the issue might be related to the Home app, and perhaps Apple has fixed the bug today (FINALLY!). Today is also the day Apple released all the new beta versions of their operating systems (though I haven’t installed any beta myself). Maybe you could try unplugging the camera and plugging it back in?
