Is this legit or scam text message

Sounds like a scam.

If you ever think a message like this might be about a legitimate issue, contact Apple or your credit card issuer using known good contact information not from the message. Always assume that numbers, links, etc. in such messages will connect you to scammers.

I got this a couple minutes ago. I DO NOT even open the text. You can tell by the number it’s coming from it’s not US. I went to my bank and to apple subscriptions, which I knew I had nothing. Then I took my bank card off Apple Pay for a bit. (I’m not a big Apple Pay user). Bottom line, they want you to put in info etc. BUT even just opening the text shows it’s an open line. And they’ll keep trying. Just delete and report.

Scam. Ignore and delete.

This is a scam. I came here to ask the same question because I just got the EXACT same message, same wording, same $ amount, same case ID number, same everything.

I'm blocking the number.

Hello~ This is a well known scam. Just scammers doing what scammers do. Report it, delete it or both and move along with your day. Don’t interact with any scam messages at all…period. I treat any unfamiliar message as a scam until I can prove otherwise…sad but true.

Whenever you see the phrase; "unusual activity", it is always a scam. 💯

Simply block, report and delete the message.

Of course! And probably a couple of hundred thousand users got the same text message, and that’s just today.

It should be gratifying to know that you haven’t been singled out.

If you have to ask the question whether it’s a scam, you can be sure it is.

It is definitely a scam. There's no question.

I just received this, word-for-word. I don't even have Apple Pay set up.

Just got this exact message as well. Same price and same business. Verifies that it’s fraud.

I literally just got the same message a couple minutes ago but only dated for today’s date August 18 saying exactly all the same stuff. Pretty sure it’s a scam.
