iPhone 15 plus camera not working after 18.5 update.

The back camera stopped working, I thought it was a glitch at first. Then as the problem was persistent I went to an authorised service centre and they told me the camera sensor is gone. They say, it will take 15K INR for repairs as the device is out of warranty.

It’s been 1.5 years of buying this phone. 1 year ago I also faced one issue, the earpiece speaker was cracking and as the device was heating up the speaker used to completely stop. Went to a Authorised service centre and they sent for repairs and found that The BATTERY, MOTHERBOARD, WIRELESS CHARGER, SPEAKER, Main Charging port Was FAULTY. They changed it free of cost as this was under warranty. 6 months over the warranty, the camera dies. What is this faulty piece of tech you are selling? Such low quality of hardware. No reliability at all.

I have another Oppo Reno 3 pro using since 5 years flawlessly. For which I paid almost one third.

15 k for repairs of a faulty piece of camera. People buy iPhones mainly because of the camera and after 1.5 years the camera dies.

A lot of people I know are facing problems with their iphone 15 & 15 plus due to low quality hardware used. I personally will never be using any Apple products in my life if this is not resolved by them.

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution!

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

See what each update does: About iOS 18 Updates, About iOS 17 Updates, About iOS 16 Updates, About iOS 15 Updates, About iOS 14 Updates, About iOS 13 Updates, About iOS 12 Updates, and so on...

This is a user-to-user site. We are all users here.....just like you. This was made clear to you in the Terms of Use Agreement which you signed to use this site.

Apple is not here. They will not see your post, so you should not expect a reply from them on this site.

It is unfortunate that you have had problems. What is it that you think that other users can do to help you? We have no ability to change or modify Apple's systems or policies.

I personally will never be using any Apple products in my life if this is not resolved by them.

Statements like this on this site will go nowhere. We don't care what products that you may choose to purchase.

Mobile brand/model selection is an individual choice based on many parameters. Such as Money, Feature, Status, Aesthetic, Utility, User-Friendliness, Availability, Warranty Coverage, Service Support, Resale value, Technology and many other factors. Choose yours judiciously!

I’m sorry about the frustration. No it is not jailbroken. It’s really frustrating that my phone keeps having problems. Even though the intention behind purchasing an iPhone was purely based on the quality of. I think I might have to pay 16k INR. To use the phone. But then again what I am fearing is this would give me a warranty of 6 months on the camera. If it happens later on again after the warranty I would be hopeless again. Sorry about some words that I have used in that post. But I am truly in problem with this phone.
