I lost one of my old Airpods (2) and just bought new ones, but the various charge leads I have in the house to charge up my iphone 12 and my old airpods, will not fit into the new ones – can anyone advise on what I need?

Apple has transitioned to USB-C for all devices and complies with EU rules that mandates all new devices accept USB-C charging to reduce landfill/e-waste, instead of each device manufacturer requiring a different type of cable.
