Sign into Google account prompt when opening Safari on MacBook Air

Thank you gray i have followed your youtube videos and i like them, My problem is when i press the safari button i always have sign in to google account on MacBook Air Apple M3 Version 15.6 (24G84).

Change your Homepage to a non Google website or your search engine that is not Google. Anytime you go to a Google website, it is Google that wants you to sign into an account.


And yes, for the Youtube website, they will also have an option to sign into Google. Youtube is also owned by Google and wants you to use a Google account there as well. If they pester you enough, they hope you will just sign up so they can collect your personal data. That is how Google generates its revenue each quarter and be able to provide their services for free. You are the product being sold.

Which YouTube videos are you referring to? Those from Apple Support?


Those Apple videos don't normally require a login, though something else installed on your Mac may well be triggering the login as Google absolutely wants to track every detail about everything.


See if the login requirement happens with Safari.


To reduce some of the Google tracking, remove all Google apps, including Chrome, and try accessing the Apple Support video again.
