I will inadvertently hit the Action Button, causing my phone to go "silent" without me realizing it. As such, I want to remove this "silent" ability/action from the side button.

Go to Settings/Action Button and choose some other use for the Action button, or choose No Action, which is the last one as you swipe from right to left.
BTW, just touching the Action Button does not enable silent mode. You must hold it for 2 seconds.
