Calculator Usage First time Mac user; I am very much looking forward to the day that I no longer loathe this OS and discover that it does in fact offer some semblance of intuitive functionality. In the meantime, support does not appear to have answers to the series of questions that I will be posting here. I hope that someone out there might. Is it at all possible to open calculator so that it does not occupy the entire screen!? I.E. so that I may view windows in the background while the app is active? Missing function browser (equation terms library) in Numbers app on Mac mini This one gets me every now and then and unfortunately i couldn't find any hints in the Apple UI or in these Community forums or the web or asking ChatGTP. So if you are in this situation and have clicked on a cell containing an equation, and the equation is visible but the Function Browser didn't appear the way you expect it to it is probably for the following reason I'll put into an answer so i can mark it as correct. I logged Feedback with Apple using the Feedback App, hopefully they repair this show stopping UI/UX blunder. why do i see this: I'd much rather see this: [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Sorry, there is no way to hide it.

You can submit feedback to Apple if you would like to see this option implemented.

There are lots of other calculator apps available in the App Store. A popular one seems to be PCalc. It's not free but lots of people think it's great. I don't know if it does what you want but worth looking at.
