Request for Access to Deceased Son’s iPhone – Important Family Photos
Dear Apple Support,
I am reaching out to respectfully request assistance regarding my deceased son’s iPhone, which is currently locked and displays the message “iPhone unavailable.”
I am his legal heir and I am in possession of the following:
• His iPhone
• The original box with the serial number
• Proof of purchase (the phone was bought by my son)
• His death certificate
• An official certificate of inheritance showing that I am his heir
• Access to the phone number linked to his Apple ID
• I believe I also have access to the email address associated with his Apple account
I would also like to clarify that no iCloud subscription was paid for or active on his account. Because of this, we are afraid that the only place where his photos and personal data are stored is on the iPhone itself.
We are not asking for his iCloud password, and we understand Apple’s security policies. Our only request is to preserve the contents of the phone — especially the photos — or, if possible, to gain access to them.
My son tragically passed away during his sister’s wedding, and the last photos of them together are saved on this phone. These memories are deeply important and irreplaceable for our family.
Please let us know if there is any way to unlock the phone without erasing its data, or to retrieve the photos. We are fully prepared to provide any required documents and follow Apple’s official process.
Thank you very much for your understanding and support during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Dima S*******
