iPhone 13 Pro with white screen issue requires original invoice from Japan

I have iPhone 13 Pro which has a white screen issue after the update.

the service center in India says we need original bill as it is a global piece.

so, I had purchased the phone in Dubai and have the original receipt for the same.

but the service center says the phone is shown as Japan global unit and need invoice from Japan to make repairs.

what to do

It is VERY common for phones sold in Dubai to be not for that region, but often they are from other regions in the world. You clearly bought the phone NOT from an Authorized Apple Seller, so you wound up with a phone which was manufactured for the Japan market. And let's be clear, there is no such thing as a Global iPhone. Apple manufactures and sells phones for different regions.

It's also NOT unusual for service providers in India to refuse to service phones from other regions.

You can contact Apple Support directly and ask them what you can do, but here, this is a user to user only forum and we can't authorize service for your phone.

Use the Support button at the bottom of this page. And the next time you buy an iPhone, ONLY buy it in the country you live and will use it and you won't be in this position.

So to confirm, you purchased what is reportedly a Japanese iPhone 13 Pro A2641 phone in Dubai — and that was not likely purchased from an authorized reseller in Dubai — and now want it repaired elsewhere?

Nobody here is going to sort this out. You’ll need to discuss this with Apple.

If that iPhone 13 Pro is A2641 as would match the provided information, and needs a country-specific part, the four countries are Canada, Japan, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia.

If it was originally purchased in Japan and warranty or AppleCare coverage is expected, then that iPhone may well need to be returned to Japan for the repair, as the warranty and coverage is not international and repairs requested elsewhere are at the discretion of Apple.

Buying phones from vendors other than from Apple or authorized resellers can have its risks.
