Magnetic strip on iPad and Apple Pencil won't connect completely

i have an ipad air m2 13 inch, and a apple pencil pro. one day i decided to use my ipad after a while cause my mom took it away. i wanted to use my apple pencil but it isn’t connecting to my ipad . i observed that the magnet strip and my apple pencil isn’t fully connected like one side of it can still move and the other side is magnetized. i tried the pencil on my moms older ipad pro and the magnet is stronger and no sides move and it onnnecgs. i think there is an issue with my ipad magnet? please help
