How do I fully disable window tiling margins on macOS?

Good evening, folks. I HATE the margin tiling,

I have turned off all the options for tiling that I want off. But windows continue to expand to full size when I move them, and the margins at the top of the screen will not go away. There is a permanant margin of 5MM at the top, and 5MM on that side, no matter where I put the windows.

My macbook air is 15inches, but it's still small enogh that that I want that 1CM back.

Can someone please help? I HATE tiling so so much. Help would be appreciated because this is just a dumb feature and turning it off has not done a thing.

I honestly don't know what stage manager or mission control are, or how to use them.

Hi thank you for this. I’ve gone into safe boot and it does the same thing. All my settings match what you have here and it still is doing it.

I did do everything you said, and then tried to do safe boot and check. Still doing it. 😭
