Urgent Appeal: Request for Review of Permanently Disabled Apple ID

Dear Apple Support Team,

I am writing to formally request a review of the recent decision to permanently disable my Apple ID (r******@icloud.com). I have been a loyal Apple customer and rely heavily on this account for my devices, purchases, iCloud data, and subscriptions.

When I contacted support, I was informed that my account was permanently disabled, but I was not provided with a specific reason or explanation. Without clear information, I cannot understand what happened or how to resolve the issue.

I respectfully ask for the following:

A detailed clarification of the reason my account was disabled.

A fair review of my case, as I strongly believe this action may have been made in error.

Guidance on how I can resolve any outstanding issues in order to restore my Apple ID.

I have always used my Apple ID in good faith and within Apple’s terms and conditions. Losing access to my Apple ID not only affects my ability to use Apple products, but also risks losing years of personal data and legitimate purchases.

I kindly request that this case be escalated to a Senior Advisor or the Account Security team for further investigation.

Thank you for your time and understanding. I trust that Apple, known for its commitment to customer experience, will give my case the careful review it deserves.

Sincerely,

John

Hi, sorry to hear about the restrictions on your account. You are not addressing Apple Support. Apple Support Communities are user discussion forums. Apple only moderates the posts for terms and conditions violations. You’ll need to address your request to Apple.

Apple Support Community is a public discussion forum for fellow Apple users to connect, assist each other, share tips and solutions. Apple hosts the community, but is not a participant and will never read your comment. If you would like to leave feedback for Apple please use the links below. Because of the nature of your request, I’d suggest writing, but a phone call to Apple support may prove successful as well. Best of luck in your endeavor.

According to various posts, Apple may permanently lock accounts for other reasons (very broadly outlined in section VII-B of Legal - iCloud - Apple ). Apple won't tell you exactly why. You, or somebody who has managed to get access to your account, are likely doing something Apple is interpreting as account misuse. You will have to see if your activities could be construed—rightly or wrongly—as meeting any of Apple's conditions in the support article. You will need to create a new account and stop doing things the way you have been that may have caused the other account to be locked.

In this situation you may be able to still use your equipment with a new account. Apple can completely reset a device if a person can provide sufficient evidence of valid ownership. Check the requirements and steps at: Activation Lock support request - https://al-support.apple.com/#/additional-support Apple says, "Proof of ownership documentation is required," but does not detail what currently constitutes proof other than it “must include the product serial number, IMEI or MEID.” Apple may typically require the original receipt* issued by Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller. If Apple resets the device this will give you access to the device but won't restore access to the account used to lock it. There is nothing that can be done to expedite an Activation Lock request.

*Apple recommends you "Keep your receipt after you buy an Apple device" --> Keep your receipt after you buy an Apple device - Apple Support

As for your purchases, music you have purchased in the last 10 years or so will continue to play as long as you have kept a backup copy. I'm old fashioned and still buy my media on CD or DVD.
