Messages app keeps logging me out on 2018 Mac mini with Intel Core

Messages app is asking me to sign in (only on my mini). I can sign in, and Messages will open for approx 5 seconds, then back to the Messages login screen.

I've tried: Rebooting - Software Update check - Safe Mode - Removing 'Messages' folder in Library/Cache. I have no problem launching Messages on my iPhone 16 iOS ver 18.6.2. I am able to login into iCloud online, but don't see Messages there (I don't remember if it normally does)

Looks like my phone number / email address was being used to spoof malicious calls. I had to request a support ticket to be reinstated.

1 Go to getsupport.apple.com, in the "Tell us what's happening" section, search for "iMessage activation."

2 Select the device.

3 Click the "Enable Apple Account" option.

I'm having the exact same issue on my 2018 Macbook Pro running Sequoia 15.6.1. I've tried everything I can think of but I can't stay logged in to Messages for more than 5 seconds. Had the same issue when trying to open the Facetime App. So many wonderful things about Sequoia and for an issue like this to happen with Mac staples such as Messages and Facetime is a downright shame. I hope Apple will address this as soon as possible.
