Replacing iPhone 17 with manufacturing defects under warranty

Of course it would. That's what a one year Manufacturers Warranty is for. But I would give serious consideration to adding an AppleCare+ plan to the phone. It covers things like accidental damage and lost or stolen phones, which the standard one year AppleCare plan doesn't cover.

Only if it occurs within the first year since the purchase date. That's how long the limited warranty lasts. You should get AppleCare+ to extend that manufacturing warranty, plus the damage/theft/loss coverage which isn't covered by the limited warranty.

A defective phone would be repaired or replaced, at Apple's discretion.

If they could fix the problem without replacing the entire phone, they might decide to do just that.

You are asking a very broad question. A "manufacturing defect" is one thing and would be pretty obvious. An "issue" is another thing.

For example, what if you don't like the battery performance? Apple won't replace the phone or battery unless it falls below 80% Maximum Capacity in the first year of operation.

Or, what if you think the phone is "overheating"....and Apple says it is not?

We see "issues" all the time on this support site. That doesn't mean that the iPhone will be automatically replaced by Apple.
